As a part of the long term cooperation between VAPRO and SMAK Bogor, PT. VAPRO Indonesia organized a short course of HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) based on European standards for international class students of SMAKBO. The aim is to give an extra, international, certificate to the first international class students who will graduate in July.
The short course consists of two parts of the HSE training program: theoretical training and practical safety lab training. Theoretical training was executed on the period of October 5-15, 2010 while practical safety lab training was held on October 23, 2010. In total there are 55 students who followed the course.
The theoretical training covered selected HSE lessons which needed and connected to the future workplace of the students as chemical analyst. The practical safety lab training was held at one of the safety lab established by VAPRO at SMKN 7 Bandung. A number of experiments and exercises were executed to raise HSE awareness of the students.
At the end of the course, each student assessed by means of theoretical exam and safety lab checklist. VAPRO HSE Short Course certificate were given to the students who passed the exams.
